Whistlestop Package Center is an independent retail shipping center and so can ship for you by a variety of carriers without being bound to give preferential treatment to any. We work for you, not for any one carrier.
- As a long-standing commercial counter for UPS, Whistlestop can ship by the full range of UPS air and ground services, at prices mostly below UPS Retail Rates.
-- Pickup is generally between 4:30 PM and 5:15 PM, Monday - Friday.
- As a public shipping location for Spee-Dee Delivery Service, Whistlestop can offer highly competitive rates, compared to national carriers, for ground shipments within their upper Midwest service area (South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, most of North Dakota, the more populated parts of Nebraska and the immediate St. Louis area in Missouri).
-- Pickup is generally between 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM Monday - Friday.
- And of course, Whistlestop can send your packages by US Postal Service mailing and shipping services, including First Class, Priority Mail, Parcel Post (now called "Retail Ground") and Media Mail (book rate).
-- You can leave mail and packages up to 5:30 to go out the same night, if no special services are needed. Special services such as Certified Mail and insurance (over $50 for Priority Mail) may require an additional day.
